CDP Names EcoRodovias Industry‘s Best Company
São Paulo, December 20, 2016 – EcoRodovias Group was just included on the Climate “A” List of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), an international non-profit organization that selects the world‘s best public corporations based on the management of their greenhouse gas emissions. In Brazil, only two companies have attained this recognition, with EcoRodovias the only one in its industry.
With the most comprehensive corporate database on the topic, CDP represents a group of 857 signatory investors around the world that invest in companies deemed sustainable. In all, 5,500 companies participated in the award this year. Only 193 had the conditions required by the organization to be included on the “A” list.
This recognition is a result of EcoRodovias‘ efforts launched four years ago, with an intense effort made to identify the level of greenhouse gas emissions. The document, which is called the emissions inventory, provided reliable data on the topic and served as the basis for a project to reduce air emissions. The Group also is, since 2010, a component of the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BM&FBovespa). “EcoRodovias is committed to the best practice of sustainability, corporate governance and socio-environmental responsibility and has been recognized in recent years for fostering good practices,” said Artaet Martins, Sustainability consultant at EcoRodovias.
